The “Safe to Touch” steam pipe 200oC project in INDIA
C-COAT's Indian distributor demonstrated the safe-to-touch feature over steam pipes with ~200C surface temperature, allowing bare-hand touch and publishing a surface vs safe-to-touch temperature graph.
Indian distributor has demonstrated a "safe to touch" feature of C-COAT products over steamed Pipes with about 200oC plain surface temperature.
The steam pipes were coated with a thin layer of C-COAT and although FLIR IR camera was showing reduction down to 110oC - 150oC surface temperature the operator was able to touch it by bare hand.
It is important to mention that anything above 58oC would cause skin burns and this was the reason for our Team to publish the comparative graph showing the Surface Temperature vs Actual C-COAT "safe to touch" Temperature and publish it together with explanation of this phenomenon.
