Colour matching to RAL code paints in Laboratory in Australia
A client request to match RAL colour codes was carried out at the Sydney facility, where the water-based coating had to be dried before matching and preformatted RAL formulas from the OEM tint supplier were adopted.
Client request to match with RAL codes was performed with due diligence in Sydney facility. It was observed that water based coating had to be dried before placed on apparatus for colour matching and it took a few tries and errors to get it right.
The issue was linked to absence of a base colour code for our product and after detailed determination it become easier to use preformatted RAL formulas from OEM supplier of tints.
