C-Coat Heatshield technology
Fine-tuned over several years, this Australian-owned formulation is created by an innovative R&D team of engineers, physicists, technologists and chemists. The high-tensile, extra-fine coating formula consists of three parts: a water-based base, a large number of high-quality glass/ceramic air-filled micro-spheres and a reinforcing agent that provides elasticity.
Applications & benefits
Industrial equipment
Coats industrial machinery and equipment to enhance durability and prolong their lifespan.
Marine applications
Applied on ships, boats, and marine equipment to prevent rusting and corrosion caused by saltwater.
Renewable energy
Applied in solar and wind energy facilities to protect metal structures from corrosion outdoors.

Why C-Coat?
Nanoterm is the exclusive distributor of C-Coat thermal insulation and fire-protection coatings for Serbia. What we do We supply C-Coat systems and help you choose: which coating, what film thickness and what surface preparation suit your structure. Every enquiry gets a concrete proposal with consumption calculation and price. For more demanding projects we also arrange consultation with the manufacturer's engineers. Where they are used C-Coat coatings are applied in residential and commercial buildings as well as demanding industrial settings: process and petrochemical plants, gas and hot liquid pipelines, transport, marine, mining, aerospace and defence. What a ceramic insulating coating is Several names are used in practice for the same thing — liquid thermal insulation, thermal paint, thin-film insulation. It is a coating whose insulating properties come from air-filled microspheres. It is applied by brush, roller or spray, follows the shape of the substrate and takes up no usable floor area. About the manufacturer C-Coat Insulation Australia Pty Ltd has been manufacturing thermal insulating coatings since 2019. It began as a separate business line of ATA Pty Ltd, active in the Australasian market since 1999. Research into ceramic nano-coatings started in 2013, and since 2017 the formulation has been developed together with a European manufacturer and tested in independent laboratories. Documentation Certificates and laboratory reports — reaction to fire, solar reflectance, adhesion, density, VOC — are available in the Downloads section. The pages "Energy Savings in Buildings" and "Energy Savings in Industry" explain the operating principle and the calculation method.
Frequently asked questions
Do C-Coat coatings carry a fire rating? +
Two different things. REACTION TO FIRE describes how the surface itself behaves in a fire: the thermal coatings marked NF (100M, 100F, 200ST, 300HH, 600HP) hold EU class B-s1,d0 to EN 13823 and ISO 11925 — limited contribution to fire, very little smoke, no flaming droplets. STRUCTURAL FIRE RESISTANCE is a separate requirement, met by the intumescent coatings C-COAT WIFR and GIFR, which expand in a fire and form an insulating layer around steel. An NF coating must never be specified in place of an intumescent one.
What substrates can C-Coat be applied to? +
Steel, galvanised sheet, concrete, masonry, aluminium and most construction substrates. Each substrate has a matching primer; the choice depends on the material and surface condition.
How much energy does it save? +
Savings depend on the building, climate and coating thickness. The coating works three ways: it reflects solar radiation, reduces heat conduction and prevents condensation. Send us the building details for a specific estimate.
Is the coating water-based? +
Yes. The C-Coat formulation is water-based, with air-filled glass/ceramic micro-spheres and a reinforcing agent that provides elasticity.
